“These three dilapidated storefronts were meticulously recreated, resulting in a beautiful facade that adds life and character to the streetscape. The jury noted the attention to detail and historic reference in the design of the new wood storefronts, entry doors and custom awnings. The new arched openings, which showcase the original brick walls, were thoughtfully placed to create visual and physical connections between the three spaces. The interior finishes, fixtures and custom millwork compliment the historic feel of the revitalized exterior. Well done! A Merit Award for Renovation/ Restoration is awarded to Lagniappe Leland for design excellence in historic rehabilitation.”
